Commitment

I was wholly committed to quilting and blogging about it as a spiritual practice..

This IPad was meant to be a tool. I still had the desktop. I still had an old camera.

The IPad takes amazing photos, but I struggle to put them where I want them. I can’t get this tool to work.

I  made a mini quilt for a swap and still can’t upload it other than here.

When I think of my spirituality, it is mighty lost, unusable, frustrating. I’ve been feeling icky, tired from not eating right. Just like the blog.

There are 2 quilts in process; one for a grad gift and one for a birthday. What I see is such self-deprivation. All my skills are waning so rather than make something less than perfect, I make nothing. I will keep trying to do my best, even though it takes me a month to do what I used to do in a day.

Life goes on.

The Process: Pin, Trim, Piece, Press

I've been working on the Graduation quilt that goes back to MN in June.

This quilt pattern stressed me out. It was a BOM Mystery, which means, the quilter has to trust the admins. Unfortunately, the pattern-maker made mistakes that were only corrected when it was being made.

Right now, I am pressing, will pin, trim, and then piece. There are two blocks.

I thought I had the system down to upload photos from my IPad here. The IPad isn't working correctly, so this post is without a pic

Golden Comfort

I am shipping another comfort quilt out. It is scrapped and moves out a lot of fabric. I mailed out a swap, birthday cards, and a surprise.

Still struggling with formatting here.

The comfort quilt Goes to the Daughter of my childhood friend. She wanted harvest colors. All these scraps fit.

I’ve been sidetracked constantly and haven’t had a lot of time to quilt.

My cat has been sick, so I cleaned and cuddled when needed. He is getting older as we all are. Cats age four years to our one. So this year he is 68 and next year will be 72. They tend not to show pain, and because of their actions develop arthritis when they are 50 cat years old.

Anyway. I have a few projects going and will try to get back to it and writing.

I made a scrap back here too. On the plus side, it uses fabric. On the down side, it stretches more and puckers when quilting. All in all, it comforts.

So on with the day.

I plan to buy the keyboard for my IPad. That might help with formatting issues.

The little IPad becomes hard to hold and type on. One finger..sucks.

I also want to add HBO to my Hulu before GoT starts. Yadda, yadda.

Funny.
