This is an easy mug rug using the lil Twister template. I finished it in the hotel room before leaving for the park. The trip to Disneyland was fun. Of course, they are raising prices for the event. However, the ticket got us into both parks, and we shopped Downtown too. Our hotel had a free shuttle and also a hot breakfast. It had a pool and a hot tub too! Great trip.
The mug rug measures 6" square, so took a 5" piece to make the twist, plus a 3" border, and more for binding. I think it is a great way to use some scraps.
I used a 6" square for the back & machine quilted with an echo stitch outside of the twist. Most likely this one will go in a stocking stuffer & be used after the holidays.
All the walking was quite exhausting, so I expect to take a few days to recover.
Not sure what projects are next.
TGT/ Day 10:
- The garden is really green
- Phranque ate all 20 of his feeder fish
- Rico seems happy that our housekeeper came in to feed him.
